Day 1: Arrival At Fort Kochi (cycling Distance: 10 Kms - 06 Miles)

Highlights : Explore various places around Fort Kochi, Visit the Spice Markets.

Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be guided to the hotel. By the time, you check-in into the hotel, bicycles, cycling gears and other safety equipments will be made available at the hotel. Cycling will start from the vibrant streets of Fort Kochi. Places like St Francis Church, Dutch Cemetery, Jew Synagogue, Spice Markets, Mattanchery Town and Dhobi Ghat will be pedaled. Among these places, visit to traditional Chinese Fishing Nets will surely amaze the cyclists. Local guides will help you in exploring the places comprehensively. Post these visits, lunch will be provided. After having lunch, you will be taken to the spice markets in Fort Kochi, whereby you can witness the existence of spice trade during the medieval times. Overnight Stay at Kochi.

Day 2: Fort Kochi (cycling Distance: 40 Kms-25 Miles)

Highlights : Visit Vypin, Cherai Beach, Lunch in Cherai, Kathakalli in the evening, Local markets.

In morning, a ferry will take you to the Island of Vypin, which is 27 km in length and has the longest beach in Kochi, Cherai Beach. While cycling in this island, you can also explore the Kuzhupilly and Puthuvype Beach. By the time the cycling excursion reaches Cherai, it will be the time for lunch. After a rejuvenating session of some of the beach games pedal to the local fish farms and witness the local ways of catching crabs. Post this visit, you will be guided to the ferry jetty and the vivacious Kathakalli dance will amuse your evening. You can also get engrossed in shopping around the local markets. Overnight Stay at Kochi.  

Day 3: Thattekad (cycling Distance: 40 Kms-25 Miles)

Highlights : Cherukunnam, Lush paddy fields and alluring canals, Thattekad Bird Sanctuary and Bhoothathankettu.

After having breakfast in Fort Kochi, the cyclists will be transferred to a hamlet called ‘Cherukunnam’. Canals flowing in almost every direction magnify the attractiveness of the village. Lush green paddy fields and the tranquillity of the village will soothe you bicycle expedition. Here onwards, you can pedal towards the Edamalayar forests and the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary. Considered to be a paradise for the birdwatchers, the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary will surely offer a rejuvenating and peaceful experience. ‘Fort of the Spirits’ or ‘Bhoothathankettu’ will be explored after cycling around the sanctuary. Night-stay camps or stay at the resorts will be arranged.

Day 4: Munnar (cycling Distance: 50 Kms-32 Miles)

Highlights: Munnar expedition, Tea and cardamom plantations, Stay in the estates.

A slow, yet pulsating ride will take you to Munnar. This region of Kerala is popular for their lush and green meadows, tea estates and spice plantations. Located at 1,600 metre above the sea level, Munnar is surrounded by three picturesque mountain streams; Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. While cruising through the rustic rural areas, ride uphill to the enchanting waterfalls in Munnar. On the way, you can also visit the tea and cardamom plantation areas in Munnar. Day 5: Munnar (cycling Distance: 45 Kms -28 Miles)

Highlights: Tea Museum, Shola Forests, Dairy farm.

Today, you can ride to the dam, dairy farms and the Shola forests. Eravikulam National Park, Anaimudi Peak, Mattupatty and Kundale dams, Pallivasal, Top- Station and the famous Tea-Museum will also be cruised today. With the ride to the Tea Museum and dairy farm, you can witness the plucking and processing of tea leaves, and can also buy local farm products prepared in these farms. With the befalling evening, ride back to the cottage and stay overnight at Munnar.  

Day 6: Munnar – Suryanelli (cycling Distance: 30 Kms-18 Miles)

Highlights: Chinnakanal village, Lockheart Gap, Bison Valley and Anaerangal Dam.

Today, you can ride to the Chinnakanal village, which is located at a distance of 30 km from Munnar. The route consists of steep climbs through the Lockheart Gap and Bisoon Valley. While riding to the village, the picturesque beauty of the valley will allure the riders close to the nature. Rooms will be arranged at a resort, from where you can witness some of the mesmerising views of the Anaerangal Dam and its water body. While at the resort, you can also taste a variety of tea, which include ginger tea, cardamom tea, green tea and masala tea. Overnight Stay at Suryanelli.

Day 7: Suryanelli - Kattapana (cycling Distance: 65 Kms-40 Miles)

Highlights: Paddy fields, Kattapana, Cardamom hills, Cottage stays. 

Ride through the myriad stretches of paddy fields in the higher ranges while approaching Kattapana. On the way, you can pedal to one of the oldest and popular temples in the region. Lunch will be organised atop a silent, yet captivating hill. This hilltop is the best place to have a view of the plains of neighbouring state, Tamil Nadu. Post lunch, your cycling will turn into one of the spiciest tours of your life after you reach the Cardamom hills. The aroma of the surroundings will keep you engrossed and will surely offer a pleasant ambience to stay within. Overnight Stay at Kattapana.

Day 8: Kattapana - Thekkady (cycling Distance: 10 Kms-06 Miles)

Highlights: Periyar National Park, Exotic animals, Cooking lesson, Hand-made chocolates.

Today will be dedicated to the Periyar National Park in Thekkady. Explore and unfold the beauty of the Periyar National Park and its vast range of wildlife. You can either go for a jungle walk or opt for a rafting in the Periyar Lake. While in the park, you can spot some of the exotic as well as endangered species of wildlife. Elephants, Barking Deer, Langurs, Mouse Deer Dholes (Indian Wild Dogs) are some of the commonly found animals in the park. In the evening, the biking expedition will turn into a delicious experience when a delightful and tantalizing cooking lesson will be provided by the locales. Walk to the local markets and get some hand-made pack of spices, artefacts and chocolates. Overnight Stay Thekkady.      

Day 9: Thekkady - Kuttikanam (cycling Distance: 30 Kms-18 Miles)

Highlights: Rolling hills, Tea factory, Churches, Mosques, Syrian lunch.

Today, you can ride to the misty green hills in Kuttikanam. A stay here will surely make you realise, why Kerala is bestowed as “God’s Own Country”. Basking in plantation history you can have the glimpse of the lives of the ‘British Sahibs’. Our route today includes riding through the rolling hills and several magnificent churches and mosques around the village. Visit to the tea factory will help you getting acquainted with tea processing. Lunch will be organised in perfect Syrian Christan style with fish curry and red boiled rice. Overnight at Kuttikanam.

Day 10: Kuttikanam (cycling Distance: 20 Kms-12 Miles)

Highlights: Jeep-plantation tour, Interact with locales, kayaking.

A jeep-plantation tour will take you tea, coffee, cardamom and other plantations. While interacting with the locales, you can have a quick look about their tradition and culture. Enjoy the traditional coconut drink of Kerala while interacting with the locales. Advancing ahead, you can also enjoy kayaking in a nearby stream. Overnight stay in Kuttiknam.  

Day 11: Kuttikanam- Kumarakom (cycling Distance: 30 Kms-18 Miles)

Highlights: Mundakayam town, Rubber plantation and factory, Luxury boat, River cruise.

After having breakfast, ride down 22 km to the Mundakayam town. This town is famous for its rubber plantations and factories. En route, visit the farms and learn the skill of rubber tapping and watch the workers preparing rubber mattresses. After spending adequate amount of time in the factory, ride towards Kumarakom. Upon reaching Kumarakom, a luxury rice-barge will greet you with festive lunch; music in the background will traditionalize your lunch to Kerala’s overwhelming ethnicity. Cruise the quaint blue waters of the horizon and explore the coconut palms, temples and the nearby villages. Overnight stay on the boat at Kumarakom.  

Day 12: Kumarakom- Mararikulam (cycling Distance: 40 Kms-25 Miles)

Highlights: Narrow lanes, quaint beach, torpid sands and Exotic dolphins.  

After having breakfast in the morning, depart the boat and start biking in the narrow lanes of the villages to reach Mararikulam. You can also visit plenty of temples on the way. Mararikulam is one of the popular fishing villages by the beachside. It has also been featured by ‘National Geography’ as one of the ‘Top Five Hammock Beaches’. The village also serves as one of the most sought after destinations for cycling tours. After having lunch in the village, head towards the beach and enjoy the serenity around there. While enjoying the torpid sands of the beach, you can also spot the exotic dolphins. Overnight Stay at Mararikulam.

Day 13: Mararikulam (cycling Distance: 10 Kms-06 Miles)

Highlights: Traditional lunch, Ayurvedic massage therapy, village tour, swimming, exotic seafood.  

Enjoy a traditional lunch on the leaf plates and go for a rejuvenating Ayurvedic massage therapy. After having the massage, you can stroll around the village and visit its temple. Upon returning to the resort, enjoy swimming and learn cooking from the chefs of the resort. Overnight Stay at Mararikulam.

Day 14: Departure - Mararikulam

Today, you will be dropped to the Cochin airport.
